Yoga & Holistic Healing Retreat, Italy
Join me at Casa di Yoga in Puglia, Italy!
You can join me again this year at Casa di Yoga in Puglia. This year I will be offering two retreats back to back so you can either join 10-15 November.
Yoga in itself can feel like therapy! On this retreat Suze will combine yoga asana classes with actual therapeutic practices, creating a powerful and healing combination. Start your day with a vinyasa yoga class that opens your body and connects you to your breath. In the afternoon sessions, you will explore body-oriented therapeutic practices that allow you to release tension from your body, regulate your nervous system, and process experiences on both a mental and physical level.
You are invited to (re)connect to your body and through your body remember yourself, your desires, and your needs as we explore a variety of practices together.
‘Suze is one of the most experienced yoga teachers in the Netherlands with a background in psychology and Yoga Nidra with Uma Dinsmore-Tuli. She is a well-liked teacher with a gift for making the most complex subjects easy to understand and to put them into practice in real life.'
Montserrat G. Mukherjee
The Practices
Vinyasa yoga, meditation, and pranayama will be combined with somatic practices like somatic experiencing, TRE® (Tension/Trauma Release Exercises), and Yoga Nidra.
You will learn about the functioning of your nervous system, how it relates to your sense of well-being, and how to regulate it.
Whether you are just looking for a way to create a more comfortable and intimate relationship with yourself and your body, or have some specific experiences that need more attention, this retreat will offer you a safe space and the practices to take some steps toward connection and healing.

The Accommodation & Location
For this retreat, we will return to Masseria Pezza, a luxurious farmhouse surrounded by vineyards and olive trees. The ideal place to retreat. The house has six bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, a large kitchen and living room, indoor yoga space with a cozy fireplace, and a saltwater pool for a cold plunge. Bed linen, towels, shampoo, and soap are provided in your room. We keep the retreat intimate and host up to 11 guests.
There are some excellent reasons why everyone seems to be going to Puglia right now. The heel of Italy’s boot combines fairytale landscapes with trulli, whitewashed towns, olive groves on red soil, and interesting architecture. The retreat house is only a 20-minute drive from the beautiful sandy beaches on the Ionian Sea, Torre Lapillo, Punto Prosciutto, Salina dei Monaci, Punta Prosciutta, Torre Colimena, Spiaggia del Conte and Torre Borraco. Let yourself be inspired by the Apulians; masters at living life in the slow lane and enjoying the small pleasures in life.
The Teacher
Suze (Msc) has a background in Psychology and is a certified Yoga teacher and Yoga Nidra Facilitator, teaching yoga since 2006. Suze is also a certified Body Oriented Trauma Therapist and Orthomolecular Therapist. She combines this with specific practices like TRE® (Trauma Release Exercises), Functional Range Conditioning (FRC®), and Family Constellations.
Suze believes strongly that the holistic approach of combining yoga with different
disciplines in the field of psychology, nutrition, and trauma therapy, offer all the
tools we need to not only find inspiration but to gain insight and find the healing
that can alter the course of our lives.
Her yoga teaching style is a combination of challenging asana sequences, focus on alignment, deep embodiment, and self-healing. The challenging parts of the practice are met with humor and clear guidance that keeps you safe and grounded. Suze's yoga nidra and meditation classes offer you the relaxation that goes beyond just physical relaxation and allows healing to take place on a deeper level.
